Saint Nicholas

Saint Nicholas, whose name is “Santa Claus” is a legend of the prayerful,

kind and generous bishop who often reached out to the poor, the children, those in trouble…

Nicholas was very religious from his childhood. He zealously obeyed the command of Jesus to the rich young man in the gospel, “Go, sell what you have, give the money to the poor and follow me” (cf. Mk 10:21). Nicholas used his inheritance to assist the needy, the sick and the suffering.
