Considering the wide-spectrum and horizon covered by the content of the present compendium of selected articles written and talks given to a diversity of readers and audiences at various times, in various circles over the period of four decades or more, today's reader may be wondering: Why has Archbishop Peter Sarpong chosen to re-launch them for the benefit of contemporary readers and audiences?
The response, it would appear, has two prongs: one which is rather pessimistic, and the other which, thankfully, is optimistic. Interestingly, both depend on the response that is given to the very title of this work: Is Africa the Future of the Church?
